In Jilovišti, a man was shot and is currently in critical condition.

In addition to police officers in bulletproof vests, several rescue teams rushed to the scene. The injured man had to be intubated and was flown to the hospital.

The police immediately began searching for another man who had fled the scene. A helicopter was deployed, and eventually, he was located in thick undergrowth near one of the cottages. Under the threat of a pointed firearm, the Central Bohemian Police’s Emergency and Escort Unit managed to detain him.

The man has a very extensive criminal record and was even wanted by the authorities. It is now being determined whether he had any involvement in the gunshot injury and why he fled the scene.
