Police shot at the man who attacked them. He later died in the hospital.

According to information from AKTU.cz, police officers repeatedly urged the man to stop his actions and put down his weapon. When he disregarded their pleas and began moving toward them with a knife in hand, they first attempted to use a taser. However, it failed to work, and they were forced to use their service weapon. The man was shot and injured at the scene. The officers immediately provided first aid and called for an ambulance, which transported him to the hospital, where he later died. The second man, who was stabbed, was found lying in the corridor when the patrol arrived.

According to a police spokesperson, none of the officers involved in the incident were injured. The case is now under investigation by the General Inspectorate of Security Forces, which is standard procedure when a service weapon is used. The perpetrator's motives and the surrounding circumstances are still being investigated.

The street was closed during the operation, and several police units along with paramedics were on the scene.
