The ice collapsed under the children.
© AKTU.cz, Lukáš Dvořák Two ten-year-old children fell through the ice at Černý Most in Prague. Three adults immediately jumped in to pull them to shore. Emergency crews and firefighters rushed to the scene right away.
The call-out was reported around 4:30 in the afternoon. Fortunately, when the firefighters arrived with their poles, they found no one in the water.
Rescue teams focused primarily on the children, with one of them being airlifted to the hospital in critical condition.
Other rescuers also attended to the three rescuers who had immediately pulled the children from the water. They ensured the victims were kept warm to prevent hypothermia.
One child's condition is reported to be serious yet stable, while the other appears to be fine, almost uninjured.
